As one of the first
manufacturers making snowboards in the LA area my companies Uni-Core and
Eightball made some of the most forward thinking and unique boards around
featuring a one piece aerospace grade aluminum bottom so the edge can not
separate. Based first in San Bernardino and then Sonora, Ca. as an
evolution of the Wiig-Out snowboard company I designed hundreds of
graphics for export to Japan. After the ski makers saw the future turn of
the ski industry (downhill) they used their muscle to force out the little
guys and design snowboards under their own labels. I then took my talents to Japan and started doing designs for several companies there. I also designed a series of ski and snowboard shops in Tokyo, Kobe and Nagano. |
| Finally the Japanese sent my extensive catalog to Hong Kong for manufacture there and gave me the boot. Now I may be a little bitter about getting the finger but I did have an extensive tour in Japan seeing a lot of the beautiful countryside and the Nagano Olympics. Anyone who stumbles on this page and remembers those great snowboards please Email me. holiday@holidaygallery.net | |
